Volunteer Field Officer (7)

Revolution Human Aid and Transparency Initiative (REHAAT-INITIATIVE) is a Malawian non-governmental organization (NGO) with the mission to promote full public participation on developing and implementing educational, environmental, human rights, governance, economic and sanitation programs without discrimination in respect of gender, tribe, race or colour, creed or religious belief, sexual orientation, political affiliation, nationality, disability, or membership of minority group. The organization is based in Mzuzu.

The organization is seeking the services of Volunteer Field Officers to help in implementing the organization’s 2021-2023 strategy. The field officer will be reporting to project officers.

Reporting to: Project Officer

Location: Mzuzu

Key responsibilities

• Mobilizing and working with community structures in education, governance, human rights, food security, environment and climate change.

• Establishing and maintaining youth clubs at grassroots level.

• Facilitating trainings relating to youths, women and disadvantaged communities.

• Routinely collecting data in the field.

• Any other duties as assigned by the Project Officers and/or any higher authority within the organization

Qualification:

Certificate/Diploma in Agriculture, Education, Public Health, Administration, Community/Rural Development or related field.

Requirements:

No special experience is needed, however the applicant must understand that this is purely voluntary work. The successful applicant will be required to dedicate their time to the organization and must be ready to learn and grow with the organization.
